Toni Trucks
When TonTrucks was was about 5 years old, her dad took her to see a MCP production of Most Happy Fellow. On the way home she told her dad that "she wanted to do that." And do that she did. A few weeks later, she was on stage in the MCP production of Sweet Charity and so a lifelong love of the theatre began. Over the next few years, she not only took every dance class that she could, but appeared in practically every School and Civic Players production that was available.
For her senior year in High School, she attended the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy and then earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan.
Upon graduation, Trucks moved to New York where she performed regionally before relocating to Los Angeles to make her television debut as the female lead on Showtime’s acclaimed comedy series Barbershop. Her other television credits include House, 'All of Us, Veronica Mars, 'Til
Death, “Brothers,” “CSI: NY” and the telefilms Star Runners and StarStruck.
In 2012, she co-starred in Fox Searchlight’s film Ruby Sparks (July 25). The film starred Paul
Dano, Zoe Kazan, and was directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (Little Miss Sunshine). She was also featured in the final installment of the blockbuster Twilight series Breaking Dawn as Mary, a member of the American Nomadic Vampire coven. Some previous film credits include Dreamgirls, Weapons, Music and Lyrics. and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
Trucks was cast as a series regular in a new CBS legal drama, Made in Jersey, which was unfortunately cancelled after only two weeks. She had a recurring part int he NBC series, Do No Harm, as Dr. Patricia Rivers. Hostages as Angela Nix and followed that with a starring role in Franklin and Bash and she had time to guest star on the Mentalist and Grimm. She has recently enjoyed recurring roles in NCIS: New Orleans and the Comedy Central series Corporate.
Enjoy her every week on the Second Season of the CBS series Seal Team. She plays the teams logistic expert, Lisa Davis.
In addition to the busy film and TV career, Toni tries to make time to do theatre. Credits include Cactus Flower, Stormy Weather, Kiss Me, Kate, West Side Story, Oklahoma!,
Follies, Footloose, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Ragtime, Sweet Charity
and Children of Eden. Additionally, Trucks studied theatre abroad at London’s
Marymount College and has over 17 years of dance training including ballet,
modern and tap.
